ABOUT JOSH.
I take an eclectic approach to counseling, adapting my work to meet each client’s unique needs. Through a collaborative process, I support clients in exploring challenges, gaining insight, and working toward meaningful personal growth.
Prior to entering the counseling profession, I served in the United States Army Special Operations and deployed overseas four times in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. These experiences shaped my understanding of leadership, accountability, and resilience, and continue to inform my calm, steady presence in the counseling space.

A Thoughtful, Person-Centered Approach to Mental Health
I hold a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a Graduate Certificate in Addictions Counseling from Troy University. My therapeutic approach is person-centered and integrative, drawing from evidence-based practices while thoughtfully tailoring treatment to each individual’s unique needs, values, and goals.
I believe effective counseling balances empathy with gentle challenge and is grounded in a strong, collaborative therapeutic relationship. My work is guided by a commitment to ethical practice, ongoing professional development, and creating a respectful, nonjudgmental space where clients feel supported in achieving meaningful, lasting change.
